Action Plan of HAJ

  • ACTION PLAN OF HAJ (Under Joint State Haj Committee, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland etc):

    Every year Haj Committee of India (HCoI) issued Action Plan for completion of Haj related work within the time frame provided by Saudi Government. Joint State Haj Committee made every possible effort to complete the Haj related works as per Action plan. This year Announcement for Haj, 2017 was made on the 2nd January, 2017 and fixed the Last date for submission of Haj Application Form (HAF) was 24th January, 2017. In view of the representation received by the Haj Committee of India from several State Haj Committee the last date for submission of HAF was extended upto 6th February, 2017. By the last date we received total 4279 of Haj Applications from Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland. Total 3912 nos. of Haj application received Offline and 367 nos. of Haj application received Online.

    This year, under Joint State Haj Committee, 4082 nos. of pilgrims from Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland and under Manipur State Haj Committee 390 nos. of pilgrims from Manipur proceeded to Saudi Arabia to perform Haj through Guwahati embarkation point. Government of India arranged 2 flights everyday for Guwahati embarkation point which carries 600 pilgrims per day.

    Till last year 1 (one) day District level Training was organised, but this year Govt. arranged 2 (two) days District Level Training with a view to provide proper & effective Training to the pilgrims (both Logistics & Rituals). Trainers were selected by the Joint State Haj Committee as per Guidelines provided by Haj Committee of India. Selected 16 nos. of Trainers attended 3 days Training of Trainers Programme, organized by Haj Committee of India, Mumbai. These Trained Trainers were allotted to various Districts to impart Training to the Pilgrims.

    For convenience of the Haj Pilgrims Polio & Vaccine was provided at the Training venue itself and most of the pilgrims got Polio & Vaccine in the Training camp itself.

    As per guidelines of Haj Committee of India (HCoI) application for selection of Khadim-ul-Hujjaj invited and accordingly 71 nos. of candidates applied for KuH and the Committee constituted by the Joint State Haj Committee selected 21 nos. of Khadim-ul-Hujjaj including 1 (one) Sr. Officer for supervising the works of Khadim-ul-Hujjaj as per ration of 1 Khadim-ul-Hujjaj for 200 pilgrims. After 2011 Govt. has deputed 21 nos. of full quota of Khadim-ul-Hujjaj this year to Guide and Assist the Haj pilgrims and Govt. of Assam has released required fund for the purpose.

    This year Govt. has provided 1 (one) Haj Guide, 1(one) Umbrella, 1(one) Drug kit and 1(one) Teleguide to the pilgrims as Gift.
